Therefore, you may be required to provide information about your criminal history in order to be considered for this position Who we are and what we do: TennCare is Tennessee's managed care Medicaid program that provides health insurance coverage to certain groups of low-income individuals such as pregnant women, children, caretaker relatives of young children, older adults, and adults with physical disabilities. TennCare provides coverage for approximately 1.7 million Tennesseans and operates with an annual budget of approximately $14 billion. It is run by the Division of TennCare with oversight and some funding from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). TennCare's mission is to improve the lives of Tennesseans by providing high-quality cost-effective care. Job Overview: The position is necessary for Analyzing and Testing using SQL, PL/SQL and other languages, working with the staff of TennCare' s MMIS Facilities Manager Contractor, Gainwell which includes Business Analyst Developers and Testers for validating Bureau priority projects to support MMIS/TEDS Operations. Priority Projects include but not limited to interfaces through TennCare Eligibility Determination System (TEDS), Department of Intellectual Development Disabilities (DIDD) new waiver projects, Financial, Enrollment and validating Eligibility. Develop and maintain low to medium complexity programs in SQL/UNIX, EZ-Retrieve, PL/SQL, C++ or other programming languages, for retrieving data, verifying system test and production output, and creating reports related to enrollee eligibility, financial, and/or other subsystems. Review low to high complexity system specifications and operations manuals to define the capabilities and deficiencies in the existing system. Review production output on a daily basis to ensure the system is performing according to guidelines specified by TennCare. Research, document, and recommend solutions for low to high complexity issues encountered in production systems or specific programs; interprets messages or outputs, or answers questions from a project manager and end users when unexpected or potentially incorrect outcomes occur in the execution of Design and writes low to high complexity eligibility, financial, and/or other system business requirements according to TennCare eligibility business rules for low to high impact sub-systems; develop sub-system flows, write and review design narratives, and test plans detailing requirements necessary to accomplish TennCare eligibility business goals; work with vendors (Gainwell, etc.) to translate into procedural source code; assist vendor in identifying test conditions and contingencies; review written program code and check program results against expected outcome specified in the test plan. Analyze low to high complexity program changes by vendors for accuracy and functionality specified by management including developing and executing code for verifying output. Other duties as assigned may include duties assigned by Director, attending meetings, working in multiple areas as needed, create records for Director/Manager.
