Dewberry is seeking a paid, part-time Cybersecurity Intern to be part of our Cybersecurity team. As a member of the Cyber Security team the Intern will work on a number of tasks and projects around the enterprise IT compliance programs and also the detection and response activities for the Dewberry Corporate network.

Responsibilities

    Assist Cyber Security team with compliance related activities to prepare for security audits.
  • Help respond to security alerts received from various detection platforms and work to better automate the processes.
  • Work with MSSP to respond to alerts received for Dewberry.
  • Review / resolve vulnerability assessments.
  • Monitor threat and vulnerability reports and determine best course of action.
  • Assist in the auditing of systems against system baselines and correcting any issues that are discovered.
  • Execute initiatives and other activities as required.


Required Skills & Required Experience

  • Currently enrolled in a degree or certificate program related to one of the following areas: Computer Science, Information Systems, Cyber Security or related IT discipline.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and basic research skills.
  • Solid organizational skills with a focus on meeting deadlines and attention to detail.
  • Driven to learn and continually looking to gain more knowledge.
  • A person who possesses the curiosity to ask questions and the courage to seek out assistance when needed.
  • Ability to work well alone or with others.
  • Strong curiosity and desire to grow professionally in security and technology.
  • Must have familiarity with Office Products and Windows OS
