Overview:

Sentara Medical Group is seeking an experienced Academic Vascular Surgeon to lead and develop a Vascular Surgery integrated residency/fellowship program in Norfolk, Virginia. The position will involve direct patient care, leadership, teaching, and administrative responsibilities. This is an excellent opportunity to support a Vascular Surgery program and to make a difference in the community by training new surgeons and partnering in our mission to improve health every day.

Job Highlights:

  • Join a collegial team of 17 vascular surgeons at a Level 1 trauma hospital with 2 Hybrid ORs
  • Develop the program curriculum. Maintain current knowledge of national innovations in curriculum form and content.
  • Responsible for the recruitment, selection, instruction, supervision, counseling, evaluation, and advancement of residents and fellows.

Minimum Requirements:

  • M.D. or D.O, licensed to practice in Virginia and board certified in Vascular Surgery
  • Minimum 5 years of experience, have excellent clinical and technical skills, and take a collaborative approach to patient care.
