The Vehicle Manufacturing Project and Standards Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of vehicle manufacturing projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards, quality control, and efficiency in production processes. This role requires a strategic approach to manage cross-functional teams and optimize manufacturing practices.

Project Management:



  • Lead vehicle manufacturing projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring project objectives are met on time and within budget.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.


Standards Development and Compliance:



  • Establish, implement, and maintain manufacturing standards and protocols in line with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards throughout the manufacturing process.


Process Improvement:



  • Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste.


Quality Assurance:



  • Develop and monitor quality assurance processes to ensure that all products meet specified standards and customer requirements.
  • Conduct audits and inspections, addressing any non-conformance issues promptly.


Team Collaboration:



  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and procurement teams to ensure alignment on project goals and standards.
  • Foster effective communication across departments to facilitate smooth project execution.


Reporting and Documentation:



  • Prepare and present project updates, performance metrics, and compliance reports to senior management.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation related to project management and standards compliance.


Skills:



  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality assurance, and industry standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in project management software and methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification is preferred.


Work Environment:



  • Primarily based in a manufacturing facility with the possibility of travel to suppliers or other production sites.
  • May involve working under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • This role is critical in ensuring that vehicle manufacturing projects are executed efficiently and meet all quality and safety standards, ultimately contributing to the overall success of the manufacturing operations.

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in vehicle manufacturing or a related industry
  • Proven experience in project management, with a track record of successful project delivery


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master's degree
