Description

This is a full time, salaried position located at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla. Includes $5k retention incentive and $8k relocation assistance for eligible new hires. Eligible to participate in the Management Incentive Compensation Plan.

We are looking for a Pharmacy Manager to oversee a team of 25+ clinical pharmacists and serve as the site's Medication Safety Officer.

Responsibilities include:

* Develops, maintains, enhances, and oversees identified area(s) within the pharmacy department that can include: operations of the pharmacy, clinical services of the department, medication safety, quality and regulatory compliance for the department.

* Responsible for implementing corporate strategies for identified area (s) within department: pharmacy operations, clinical services, regulatory compliance and/or medication safety and quality.

* Ensures quality and patient safety regarding medication management at site.

* Develops and implements process improvement in identified areas for the department.

The following are not eligible for hiring incentives:



  • Internal candidates
  • Rehires that left Scripps less than 3 years ago
  • Candidates with less than 1 year of experience



In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met:



  • Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)
  • Must remain in original department/specialty
  • Must remain in original Job Title
  • Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:



  • Pharm BS or Pharm.D.
  • Three (3) years in a clinical pharmacy position required.



Required Certification/Registration:



  • Current CA Pharmacy license.



Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:



  • Hospital experience and previous leadership experience preferred.
  • Hospital practice residency preferred.
  • Pharm D. degree preferred.
  • Working experience with Epic EHR.
