Join our team and Be You Be Aptar. Aptar is seeking a Manual Machinist - 2nd Shift based in Cary, IL. This position is fully onsite. This role performs precison machining of parts for repair, maintencne and construction of high-speed assembly and prototype equipment. Shift Hours: 4:20pm - 12:30am, Monday - Friday Apply online or call our Human Resources Team directly at 847.462.3131! As a Machinist you will: Operate manual tool room equipment Perform custom and repair machining of plant related equipment (builds/rebuilds machinery) as a support to the Manufacturing department Troubleshoot high speed assembly equipment, and produce spare parts for assembly equipment Produce clear/accurate sketches, must be able to read mechanical blueprints Perform calibrations, must be able to machine parts to close tolerances (+/-.0005) using conventional tool room equipment (mill, drill press, chop saw, lathe, push and pull broaches, surface grinder, etc.) Cut, shape and fabricate tools Regularly clean and maintain machinery Must be familiar with machining ferrous, non-ferrous and synthetic materials and alloys Must have general machinist hand tools (micrometers, calipers, indicator, edge-finder, square, scale, wrenches, screwdrivers, mallet, hammer, etc and locking toolbox) Who We Are Looking For Team player with proven manual machining skills in a high speed assembly plant environment. In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $27.00-$35.00/hour (plus $1.00/hour shift differential).
