Summary
Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the medical assisting team and provide leadership and guidance to ensure efficient and effective patient care delivery. Develops schedules, coaches staff, precepts new hires and serves as a go to for day-to-day questions.
Essential Functions
Provide leadership to the medical assisting team, including training, mentoring, and performance guidance.
Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring proper workload distribution and effective utilization of resources.
Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting teamwork and professional growth.
Coordinate patient flow, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of care.
Assist with patient intake, including obtaining medical history, vital signs, and preparing patients for examination.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent required

Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No

Licenses and Credentials

Basic Life Support [BLS] Certificate preferred

Certified Medical Assistant required

Experience

Experience as a medical assistant, with demonstrated proficiency in clinical and administrative tasks. 2-3 years required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and protocols.

Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical office software.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Knowledge of HIPAA and other privacy and security regulations.
