Responsible for assisting with the administration or respiratory therapy treatments and procedures to patients with respiratory problems under the supervision of licensed respiratory therapists.
Essential Functions - Assists with patient assessments by gathering information about patients' respiratory conditions by taking vital signs, measuring oxygen levels, and monitoring breathing patterns. - Prepares equipment for respiratory therapy treatments, such as oxygen tanks, nebulizers, and ventilators. - Keeps accurate records of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress. - Helps with the administration of respiratory therapy treatments, such as oxygen therapy, chest physiotherapy, and breathing exercises. - Cleans and sterilizes equipment after each use to prevent the spread of infection. - In the event of an emergency, assists with resuscitation efforts and notifies the healthcare team.
