Job Purpose and Overview

As theVice President of Global Financial Planning & Analysis, you will own and drive the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes for our global operations. You will be a key partner to the executive team, providing critical insights and analyses to inform strategic decision-making, support organic and inorganic growth plans, and drive productivity, profitability, increased shareholder value, and cash flow generation. In addition to traditional FP&A responsibilities, you will play an integral role in driving business transformation, mergers & acquisitions (M&A), and strategic initiatives that will shape the company's future growth and profitability. You will lead a high-performing global team and collaborate across functions to establish financial targets and ensure financial alignment with the company's goals and values.

Work Environment: This position is located in the Dawn Foods global headquarters based in Jackson, MI; however, we support a hybrid working environment with a standard of 2-3 days per week in the office. A remote option will be considered with regular travel (approximately 5-10 days per month) to Dawn headquarters and/or other business locations as needed.

What will you do as a Vice President- Global Financial Planning & Analysisat Dawn Foods?



  • Lead FP&A Strategy: Develop and execute the company's financial planning and analysis strategy, ensuring alignment with broader business goals and priorities. Drive business transformation by identifying key financial levers that support strategic initiatives and value creation.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Oversee the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasts, working closely with business leaders across all regions and functions to ensure accurate and timely financial projections. Implement robust forecasting models to anticipate future financial performance and identify risks and opportunities.
  • Decision Support & Insights: Provide actionable financial insights to the executive team and business unit leaders, helping guide decisions related to capital allocation, resource optimization, cost management, and growth strategies.
  • Benchmarking: Perform external benchmarking and analytics to help inform and establish business performance targets and aspirations that lead to top-quartile financial performance in our industry. Leverage external benchmarks to identify growth and profit enhancement opportunities.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Lead the preparation of consolidated financial reports for the executive team, Board of Directors, bankers and other internal and external stakeholders. Ensure reports are timely, accurate, and reflective of the company's performance. Provide insightful analysis on variances and trends, offering recommendations for course correction when necessary.
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Define and monitor the company's financial and operational KPIs, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Use data to track performance against budget, forecast, and long-term strategic goals.
  • Investment Analysis & Accountability: Develop and implement tools and processes to effectively capture and track financial business cases and expected returns on Capex and other investments and ensure accountability through incorporation into strategic targets and budgets.
  • Build a Solid Global FP&A Foundation: Establish standard frameworks and templates for foundational FP&A analytics including PVM (Price/Volume/Mix) calculations, Sales and Profit waterfalls, Capex Classifications, etc. Lead training and education of the global finance team to improve FP&A skills and capabilities and ensure consistency in analytics and reporting.
  • M&A Strategy: Partner with CFO, VP of Tax and Treasury and Business Unit Presidents/CFOs to articulate the strategic acquisition framework and align on acquisition priorities and targets.
  • M&A Execution: Partner with the CFO and regional business leadership teams to evaluate and execute M&A opportunities, including financial due diligence (pre- and post-acquisition), integration planning, and post-acquisition performance tracking. Assess the financial impact of potential acquisitions, partnerships, and divestitures. Incorporate acquisition business cases into financial targets and budgets.
  • Business Transformation: Identify and lead financial initiatives that drive operational efficiencies, streamline processes, and improve profitability. Leverage technology and data analytics to drive automation and enhance decision-making across the company.
  • Technology Modernization: Lead and support key finance technology transformation initiatives including the Oracle EPM implementation/enhancements and the finance SAP S4/HANA global transformation.
  • Lead the FP&A Team: Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing global FP&A team. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Provide guidance and support to direct reports to ensure their success and professional growth. Indirectly lead and guide the regional SBU FP&A teams and drive standardization, consistency, and skill development.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with senior leaders in Sales, Operations, Marketing, and other key functions to ensure financial alignment and drive business performance. Cultivate strong relationships with regional finance teams to ensure the consistency and accuracy of financial information globally.
  • Executive & Board Communication: Regularly update the executive team and Board of Directors on financial performance, key risks, and strategic initiatives. Present complex financial information in a clear, concise, and compelling manner to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Corporate Culture & Values: Be a champion for the company's core values, including integrity, communication, collaboration, and respect. Foster a culture of transparency and accountability within the finance team and across the organization.



What Does It Take to be an Vice President- Global Financial Planning & Analysis at Dawn Foods?

Below are the minimum qualifications to be a fit for this job.



  • A bachelor's degree is required, with a strong preference for degrees in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
  • MBA or advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in FP&A or finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in a global or multi-national organization.
  • Proven experience in driving strategic initiatives, including M&A, business transformation, and performance optimization.
  • Experience in the manufacturing or CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) industry, preferably within food or ingredients, is preferred.
  • Strong expertise in financial modeling, financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (particularly SAP and Oracle)
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required.
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance principles, IFRS/GAAP accounting standards, and financial reporting.
  • Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing global teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions and geographies.
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking, with the ability to prioritize and drive execution.
  • High emotional intelligence and the ability to build trust and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial concepts for a broad audience.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Compensation:

Salary of $159,090 - $286,370 with bonus incentive potential
