Practice Manager, Anesthesia Pain Management

The Practice Manager is responsible for single-site practices or smaller multi-site practices (3 or more locations). Provides direct administrative and clinical support staff supervision, and operational duties and functions. As a member of the leadership team, the Practice Manager provides administrative cross-coverage to manage staffing and/or operational issues.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day administrative performance of secretarial and clinical support staff and manage staff schedules. Evaluate daily staffing needs and coordinate the replacement of staff.
- Assist with hiring, orientation, and evaluation of staff. Administers corrective action if appropriate.
- Assist in the career development of practice employees through ongoing coaching, counseling, and training. Ensures all mandatory training is completed by staff and HIPAA policies and procedures are followed by staff.
- Evaluate, develop, and implement administrative systems and procedures designed to maximize practice operations. Regularly evaluate and analyze practice performance metrics.
- Collaborate with practice leaders on the preparation of the practice's annual budgets.
- Oversee the department's payroll including the resolution of payroll issues.
- Monitor patient billing activity to ensure compliance with revenue procedures.
- All other duties assigned.

  • Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required.
  • Supervisory experience of 2-3 years is required.
  • Experience working in an academic healthcare environment of 2-3 years required.
  • Strong understanding of all Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong and proven leadership skills.
  • Ability to work with staff of all levels.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Analytical and math skills.
  • Knowledge of Accounting Principles.
  • Ability to adapt to multiple and rapidly changing priorities and deadlines.
