Dana Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) will be ending their long partnership with Brigham and Women's Hospital including IT services provided by Mass General Brigham. We are seeking a strong, experienced leader to lead the strategic and operational efforts to separate the IT services delivery function from an integrated system, ensuring the successful decoupling of shared IT infrastructures, applications, and service agreements. This role requires comprehensive project management, in-depth technical expertise, and a focus on business continuity. The Senior Director, Digital Solutions Delivery, DFCI Separation, will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, legal, finance, and operations, to ensure seamless transition, minimize patient and service disruption, and maintain compliance with all regulatory and contractual obligations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a roadmap that ensures the timely and cost-effective separation of IT services while aligning with the broader organizational goals and future technology strategies. Reporting to the Mass General Brigham (MGB) Chief Information Officer and SVP Digital, the Service Delivery/ITSM Leader will involve close collaboration with both internal and external departments and senior leadership. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Separation Strategy Development: * Design and implement a comprehensive IT services separation strategy that aligns with both companies' business objectives and future technology needs. * Collaborate with senior leadership to define timelines, resource requirements, and key milestones for the separation project. * Assess the impact of separation on IT infrastructure, applications, security, and compliance, providing mitigation strategies for any risks identified. Project Management and Execution: * Lead a cross-functional team to execute the IT separation plan, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget. * Oversee the decoupling of shared systems, networks, and applications, ensuring minimal service disruption during the transition. * Coordinate with third-party vendors, contractors, and consultants to facilitate the separation of IT services, including renegotiation or termination of service agreements as required. * Ensure smooth data migration and application transition while safeguarding the integrity and security of sensitive information. Risk Management and Compliance: * Identify and manage risks related to the IT separation, including security vulnerabilities, system outages, and compliance with regulatory standards. * Ensure the separation complies with all relevant legal, financial, and industry-specific regulations, including HIPAA, or other applicable standards. * Collaborate with internal audit and compliance teams to conduct thorough risk assessments and maintain necessary documentation for external audits. Stakeholder Communication: * Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including executives, department heads, and external partners, providing regular updates on the progress of the separation. * Develop and deliver presentations to the leadership team, outlining the project status, potential risks, and any adjustments to the separation plan. * Facilitate communication and coordination between technical teams, business units, and external partners to ensure alignment and seamless transition. Post-Separation Support: * Define what ongoing IT support will be needed post separation Resource and Budget Management: * Manage the project budget, tracking costs associated with the separation and ensuring efficient allocation of resources. * Develop staffing plans and manage the team required for the separation, ensuring the project is adequately resourced with the right technical expertise. Additional Responsibilities: * Work collaboratively with site leadership to continually assess IS needs, ensuring compatibility with organizational partners and identifying potential synergies. * Participate in Digital administrator on call rotation. * Perform all other duties as required to support the organization's Digital operations and service delivery.
