WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
  • Identify and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime for manufacturing related issues.
  • Support implementation and validation of new equipment and technology. Evaluate and order essential tools and fixtures to promote safety and efficiency for production team members.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing initiatives and participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Assist with new product launches and process development. Recommend product improvement and maintain standard drawings and work instructions.
  • Support manufacturing of custom/standard product bills, routings, and supplemental data.
  • Provide documentation for estimating the cost of materials and labor of manufactured product.
  • Understand product complexity and equipment requirements to select appropriate manufacturing line/processes.
  • Work with multi-functional team members on capital planning and acquisition projects.
YOU HAVE:
  • High School diploma or G.E.D. or equivalent experience; 2-year or 4-year degree preferred.
  • 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to think in analytical terms.
  • Ability to show initiative, be a self-starter and be able to work with little to no supervision.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing business circumstance and have the ability to thrive in fast-paced working environment.
  • Ability to use, and/or learn, computer programs including Microsoft Office, JD Edwards, SolidWorks.
  • Ability to document processes in work instruction format
  • Knowledge on DFM (Design for Manufacturability) to provide input for new and existing products.
  • Knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement projects.

Pay Transparency

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range:

$20.40 - $37.80 Per Hour

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
