CNC Machine Operator - Bristol, RI

CNC Machine Operators are responsible for operating and troubleshooting CNC machines according to scheduled orders to produce quality machined parts for the Aerospace and Automotive industries. Machines include lathes, mills, grinders and manual tools.
The ideal candidate for this position can demonstrate the ability to:
* Use measuring equipment effectively such as micrometers and calipers
* Work from written procedures and work routers * Dismantle jigs, tools, and special fixtures
* Make tooling as necessary
* Maintain drawing specifications by monitoring dimensional and visual characteristics to detect non-conformances
* Handle raw material and hazardous waste safely and in an environmentally responsible manner
* Perform preventative maintenance on equipment

* High School Diploma or equivalent (will consider candidates with considerable experience in lieu of education requirement)
* Experience in CNC Machining for Mills, Lathes or Grinding, required
* Experience with CNC Certification and Training
* Effective verbal/written communications skills and organizational skills
* Must have strong work ethic, attention to detail, good attendance, and flexibility to work overtime as needed
* Work in a manner that complies with all site policies and procedures, actively demonstrate SG principles of conduct & action, and adhere to all EHS requirements

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the local pay range for this position, which is $18.00 to $27.00 per hour. This hourly pay rate offered can vary depending on location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for periodic bonus payments/an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 10% of hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures. The total annual target cash range (Hourly Pay Rate plus Bonus, annualized (40 hrs./week * 52wks)) for this position, is $43,400 to $50,300. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
