Job Description
- Review grant proposal budgets that involve a high level of complexity, larger than average funding amount or involve early career faculty according to institutional policies and procedures
- Help to maintain and establish research administration processes and procedures, and best practices for the College of Engineering and Computing
- Review Cost Share financials and commitments that involve a high level of complexity, larger than average funding amount or to assist early career faculty
- Develop and maintain a method for tracking faculty salary cost share commitments for all of CEC faculty on proposals and awards
- Provide financial oversight for CEC's research program:
- Assist ADR to maintain research financial statistics for the college
- Provide guidance to PIs and staff in budget management
- Resolve complex multifaceted matters related to grants
- Reconciliation of all CEC department cost share accounts
- Maintain Nearing Zero / Overspent grants / Nearing End Date reports
- Oversee the EVR (Effort Verification Report) process to ensure compliance
- Work closely with and provide direction to the CEC fiscal service center on awarded projects.
- Maintain knowledge of existing laws, policies and procedures necessary to comply with Federal, State, University and sponsor regulations concerning grants and contracts
- Review and process grant release for faculty
- Train faculty and staff on grant management tools, policies and procedures.
- Collaborate and work with other units across campus; liaise with the Office Sponsored Programs.
- Monitor Graduate student waiver reports in PowerBI to ensure adherence to policy:
- Reconcile mid/late semester enrollment to appointments
- Review 25% minimum threshold for appointments receiving a non-resident waiver
- Other Research Financial related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 4 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience with grant financial management is preferred
Anticipated Hiring Range
The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $52,223-$73,008 annually. Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
