Geosyntec has an exciting opportunity for a Project Coordinator in our Austin or Houston, TX office as part of our capital projects and energy transition practice supporting our team in the Texas Gulf Coast. The position will have the opportunity to support project managers in planning, organizing, and executing environmental projects. It's the coordinator's job to ensure the project management framework is well-organized and that it runs smoothly. This can include communicating with various departments within Geosyntec and our clients to make sure everyone is on the same page.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Provide administrative and project management support to project team members.
  • Assisting Project Manager with tracking project activities, maintaining project files, updating the project schedule and milestones, preparing progress reports, and coordinating logistics.
  • Attending and scribing client and internal project team meetings and then follow-up with meeting notes and action items.
  • Conducting regulatory and public database research, assist with data entry, database management, project plan updating, and regulatory reporting
  • Executing a variety of project management administrative tasks such as billing and bookkeeping.


Education and Licensure

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, management or a related field. (required)


Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Communication skills: The project coordinator will interact with many individuals throughout the life cycle of a Geosyntec project and must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills: The project coordinator must have problem-solving skills that allow them to quickly come up with solutions and strategies to deliver Geosyntec projects to our clients.
  • Change management skills: The project coordinator must demonstrate adaptability and flexibility as variables necessitate changes to the original project plans.
  • Organizational skills: Key organizational skills include time management, delegation, planning, goal setting and decision-making.
  • Prior experience working on project teams in a similar role or as project administrator for multiple large capital projects. (preferred)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (required).
  • Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing. (required)
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
