What You Can Expect

As aSenior Advisorof Power Marketing (Renewables Power Origination) this role is responsible for originating new business in defined regions in the United States and Canada by developing new and existing customer relationships, communicating ENGIE's story and key attributes of potential product offerings, and proposing and structuring renewable energy transactions for the company's wind, solar, energy storage development portfolio.

The key responsibilities for this role are:



  • Secure and Manage Agreements: Secure long-term power sale agreements with utilities and corporations to support new renewable and energy storage projects. Actively manage and build relationships with existing and new customers in chosen market segments
  • Lead Bid Processes: Evaluate requests for bids, lead bid strategy, and manage a team for bid preparation, competitive analysis, and participation in procurement processes. Prepare proposals and presentation materials for customers and buyers
  • Negotiate and Close Deals: Seek opportunities for bilateral transactions, negotiate terms and conditions of power sale agreements, and drive transactions toward closure. Lead internal approvals throughout the bid process, including presenting to the renewables leadership committee
  • Collaborate and Coordinate: Work with ENGIE's project development and delivery team, and personnel in other departments to ensure project attributes important to customers are shared with the development team. Prepare template presentation and proposal materials to support the origination effort
  • Stay Informed and Represent: Stay updated on renewable energy opportunities and industry trends in the US. Define and enable regional strategy, contribute to broader strategic planning initiatives, and represent ENGIE at national renewable energy events as a speaker, panelist, and energy leader



What You'll Bring



  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration Finance, Economics, Science, Engineering, or related field of study where you have learned contracts, negotiations, business administration, or similar based program
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in energy industry; preferably in renewable energy with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in power origination
  • Proven success in development or sales within the clean energy sector, securing long-term power sale agreements with utilities and corporations. Strong sales, networking, leadership, negotiation, and time management skills
  • In-depth knowledge of the electric utility industry, electric energy markets, and working knowledge of Regional Transmission Organization (RTO) operations, electric transmission, and power generation and storage technologies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, high attention to detail, and ability to prepare marketing materials, presentations, and proposals. Team-first mindset with a focus on collaboration and achieving common goals
  • Results-oriented leader with the ability to work independently within a large matrixed organization while effectively interfacing with various cross-functional employee groups. Ability to work both independently and as a team member



Additional Details



  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
  • Must be available to travel domesticallyup to 35% ofthe time and with the need for some overnight trips
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders on evening and weekends
