Description Responsible for accurately coding moderate to complex cases. Reviews medical records and assigns ICD-10-CM codes specific to Home Care for appropriate agency requirements. Ensures a high degree of coding accuracy and productivity standards. Maintains updated knowledge of guidelines and regulations affecting the coding fields. Medical Record and OASIS reviews to ensure CMS compliance. Educates staff regarding regulatory guidelines, agency policies and procedures and appropriate documentation. Assists staff when supervisor not available. Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace. Part time 24 hours per week. Monday-Friday. This position is in Home Care Service. After the 90 new hire orientation the position will be become hybrid.
