Job Posting: Senior Environmental Scientist (Specialist) Department of Cannabis Control JC-461981 - Senior Environmental Scientist (Specialist) SENIOR ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENTIST (SPECIALIST) $7,556.00 - $10,221.00 per Month Final Filing Date: 1/23/2025 Job Description and Duties Under the direction of the Senior Environmental Scientist (SES) (Supervisory) of the San Diego Unit (Unit) in the Manufacturing Safety Office (Office) part of the Environmental Compliance and Manufacturing Safety Branch (Branch), in the Compliance Division (Division) within the Department of Cannabis Control (Department), The SES (Specialist) will be responsible for a variety of complex and sensitive scientific work. The incumbent will be assigned lead responsibility for a variety of specific projects, including the development and maintenance of manufacturing safety program's staff training programs, and coordination of complex regulatory and enforcement responses. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining a current knowledge of emerging cannabis manufacturing trends and technologies and to recommend, develop, and conduct technical staff training. The incumbent will perform at a high efficiency and assist with program planning and staff development for the Office. You will find additional information about the job in the Duty Statement.
