Role Overview

As the Director, Partner Technical Engineering, you will report to the VP of Solutions Engineering and play a critical role in shaping and leading Verkada's Partner Technical Engineering strategy and ecosystem. This individual will also play a pivotal role in collaborating with internal stakeholders, including teams from Marketing, Product, Sales, Solutions Engineering, Strategy, and Operations, to drive the adoption of Verkada solutions among key partners globally.

You will own and manage all Partner Technical Programs, including:



  • Channel Solutions Engineering (CSE) Program: Empowering partners with technical resources, tools, and support to sell and implement Verkada solutions.
  • Verkada Certified Engineering (VCE) Program: A global certification program designed to help partners become technical experts in Verkada products to better architect and implement security and building solutions.
  • Demo Program: Enabling partners to deliver high-quality, standardized demonstrations using certified environments to showcase Verkada's solutions effectively.
  • Verkada Premiere Services Network (VPSN): A managed network of trusted service providers ensuring partners deliver exceptional installations and support to our customers.
  • Partner Community: The partner community is designed to enable our key partners to collaborate and share knowledge about Verkada implementation best practices.


Key Responsibilities

  • Build a Team: Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing Partner Technical Engineering team, comprising both individual contributors and managers.
  • Define and Align Program Goals: Take ownership of setting and aligning the objectives for all Partner Technical Engineering programs, ensuring accountability for achieving measurable results.
  • Ensure Leadership Alignment: Collaborate closely with Channel and Sales Leadership to maintain alignment on goals, strategies, and execution.
  • Champion Verkada's Market Position: Act as an advocate for Verkada, working to enhance its reputation and competitive positioning with strategic partners.


Qualifications

  • Industry Experience: 8+ years as a Solutions Architect, Sr. Pre-Sales Engineer, or Field CTO is preferred.
  • Program Management: Demonstrated success in technical project management, overseeing technical programs, meeting timelines, and key deliverables.
  • Leadership Experience: 4+ years of success in a technical pre-sales leadership role, preferably as a Director.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong background and demonstrated proficiency across Cloud Technologies, Networking, Physical Security, Storage, and Software; industry certifications will be considered.
  • Travel Requirements: The role requires 50% travel, both domestic and international.

Pay Disclosure

At Verkada, we want to attract and retain the best employees, and compensate them in a way that appropriately and fairly values their individual contribution to the company. With that in mind, we carefully consider a number of factors to determine the appropriate starting pay for an employee, including their primary work location and an assessment of a candidate's skills and experience, as well as market demands and internal parity. This estimate can vary based on the factors described above, so the actual starting annual base salary may be above or below this range. This estimate is also just one component of Verkada's total rewards package. A Verkada employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, depending on their role, including sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
