TEKsystems is looking to hire several REMOTE Medical Collections/Billing CSR roles for a large hospital out of Indianapolis, IN! *please only apply if you reside in Indianapolis, and have medical collections/billing CSR experience for at least 2 years - if you do, please send your most updated resume to jafriedman @ teksystems.com - all resumes sent to this email will be reviewed first* Description: This department is in charge of turning around claims submitted in the billing process. Essentially, the Analyst collects money from insurance companies. This is done by pulling up the claim, analyzing the account, determine why the claim is not paid, and take appropriate action to get it paid. This is a follow-up job. Analysts will use 5 different systems at a time including billing program, claims program, payer websites, Cerner, etc. This position is responsible for the timely and accurate resolution of accounts receivable for entities supported by Revenue Cycle System Services. MAIN FUNCTION: - provider enrollment - charge description master and fee schedule maintenance - claim submission - third party follow up - cash posting - denial appeal and recovery - audit defense and recovery - patient collections Additional Skills & Qualifications: MUST HAVE: - 1+ year of medical office or healthcare experience where they handle health insurance (do they understand copays and deductibles and medical terminology, etc.) - Some type of experience in claims or collections would be nice - Ability to navigate through multiple systems at once while on the computer PREFERRED: 1+ year of medical billing experience (do they understand copays and deductibles and medical terminology, etc.) They have also had success with candidates who newly graduated from medical billing and coding schools who what some industry experience.
