In conjunction with the leadership team, the Sensei serves as a champion for enterprise transformation. They lead broad-scale projects to align the operating model by working with management, staff, and clinicians using performance improvement methodologies to achieve goals. Takes a lead in the development and coordination of training activities and efforts for all levels within Yale Health related to the operating model, high-reliability, and performance improvement methodologies. Qualifications EDUCATION Bachelor's degree in business, nursing, pharmacy, or other numerous related fields. Master's degree preferred. EXPERIENCE Seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience in lean management is required. Prior work in healthcare is required. LICENSURE Lean certification (Certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, Lean Expert, Lean Master or equivalent) preferred. Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) by the National Association for Healthcare Quality is required within 2 years. SPECIAL SKILLS Must have working knowledge and experience applying lean business principles with a documented history of successful implementation and sustainment of improvement. Experience in statistics, analysis, and clinical quality is required. Training experience is required. Solid understanding of various improvement methodologies, change management strategies, and high reliability required. Experience working with all levels of an organization required, with excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong computer skills including Excel and PowerPoint. Passion for patient-focused quality improvement; Must be a patient-oriented team player with the flexibility to adapt to evolving priorities. PHYSICAL DEMAND Must be able to travel to various sites across the health system. Ability to lift 50 pounds and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally. YNHHS Requisition ID 128858 |
