Position Summary The Older Adults Program Coordinator oversees the creation, implementation, and execution of older adult programing and events as coordinated with the Red Shield Program Director. These programs and events include, but are not limited to, annual gatherings, weekly programming, external (partnership) programs, and various other special or coordinated events. It is the responsibility of Older Adult Program Coordinator to oversee the schedules and placement of the necessary staff to execute an older adult program or event, and ensure details related to the program and events are managed in accordance with the policies and processes of The Salvation Army, a California Corporation. Essential Functions
Working Conditions Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis. Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and reach overhead. Ability to operate computer, fax and telephone. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Minimum Qualifications

Education
Associates (preferred)
Experience
A broad-spectrum skills set including managerial proficiency, public speaking, staff management and written communication expertise. (required)
Proficiency in program development for senior adults (required) Proficiency in preparing budgets. (required) A minimum of three (3) years of experience in multi-faceted Program-centric business activities and administration; or equivalent relevant experience in Salvation Army management positions.
