Job Description

Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Manager, Workers' Compensation and Workplace Accommodations

Join MSK's Employee Health team, leading the Workers' Compensation and Workplace Accommodations programs with creativity and care! Inspire collaboration, drive innovation, and support employees every step of the way!

Role Overview:

    Manages MSK's Workers' Compensation and Workplace Accommodations programs ensuring compliance with current regulatory requirements.
  • Develops overall strategy and objectives for the programs by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of worker's compensation and workplace accommodations, identifying issues for review and implements changes as needed.
  • Analyzes work-related injury trends and opportunities for prevention.
  • Collaborates with Employee Health providers, HR, Environmental Health & Safety, Third Party Administrator (TPA), and others to determine program modifications.
  • Participates in cross-functional committees, prepares reports, presentations, and conducts periodic program reviews.
  • Develops training materials and delivers presentations on workplace accommodations and workers' compensation to various audiences.
  • Tracks metrics to determine program effectiveness and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Supervises staff, provides training, evaluates performance, and addresses career development needs.

Key Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of workers' compensation and workplace accommodations regulations to ensure compliance
  • Related experience in a relevant role, in either human resources management, clinical work as a Nurse Practitioner (NP), Physician Assistant (PA) or Registered Nurse (RN) is good to have but not required.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing teams, delegating tasks, and evaluating staff performance
  • Experience developing, implementing, and adapting program objectives and policies in a changing regulatory environment.
  • Proven experience with informatics, financials, or data management highly preferred. (e.g. Proficiency in Microsoft excel)

Core Skills:

  • Strategic planning to develop program objectives and adapt to regulatory updates
  • Strong collaboration to work effectively with clinicians, HR teams, and external vendors to facilitate cohesive program administration
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (e.g. written, verbal, presentations)
  • Critical thinking to address workplace injury cases and optimize processes
  • Experience managing projects and initiatives from start to finish
  • Comfortable multi-tasking while maintaining a strong attention to detail

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday: 9AM-5PM
  • Location: Hybrid, Onsite Location: 222 East 70th Street
  • Pay Range: $109,300.00-$174,800.00
