From your PASSION to ours

The Maintenance Supervisor, 2nd Shift directly supervises maintenance employees to maximize productivity on assigned shifts and areas and performs supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies, OSHA regulations and applicable laws while following all standard processes, procedures, and systems.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Recruit, train, and develop maintenance staff to enhance skills and abilities.
  • Organize and oversee staff schedules and daily operations of the maintenance department.
  • Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with production to ensure equipment service and repairs align with operational needs.
  • Assess facilities and systems to identify maintenance or repair requirements and plan projects accordingly.
  • Develop and implement maintenance procedures and schedules to improve efficiency and production levels.
  • Ensure maintenance and repair tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Assist with budget planning and cost estimates for repair projects.
  • Maintain compliance with audit requirements in the maintenance area.
  • Provide 24-hour on-call support and manage personnel scheduling as needed.
  • Supervise maintenance technicians and actively participate in the \"on-call\" rotation.
  • Maintain food safety and quality by completing tasks and ensuring the work area meets sanitation standards.
  • Ensure all programs are upheld and documentation is current.
  • Report food safety issues to personnel authorized to take corrective actions.
  • Adhere to personal hygiene regulations and wear food safety/sanitation clothing as required.

From your STORY to ours

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Technical Diploma in Manufacturing Electrical Field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Electrical Technician in a manufacturing facility, preferably in food manufacturing.
  • Prior supervisory experience is required.
  • Veterans with applicable military maintenance/technical training and 2-3 years of experience are a plus.
  • Proficiency in writing simple correspondence and completing manufacturing documentation accurately.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Strong communication skills to present information effectively to other employees.
  • Basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in various units of measure.
  • Problem-solving skills to address issues involving several variables in standardized situations.
  • Must pass a company pre-employment physical and drug screen.
  • Regularly required to stand, use hands, stretch, and reach with hands and arms.
  • This job requires exerting 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, 25-50 pounds frequently, and 10-20 pounds constantly.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at elevations up to 100 feet.
  • Frequently required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and communicate effectively.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision.
  • Must have full range of body motion.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
  • The employee is frequently exposed to wet and /or humid conditions.
  • The employee is regularly exposed to dusty conditions, high noise, is regularly exposed to outside weather in all conditions and is regularly exposed to chemicals.
  • The employee will be required to use all personal protective equipment provided by the company in compliance with OSHA regulations.
