Minimum Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related field plus one (1) year of related experience.
• Strong background in statistical methods and data analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in conducting inferential statistical analysis.
• Previous experience in a research or academic setting is preferred.
• Experience collaborating with a research team on research projects, grant proposals, and manuscripts.
• Experience in writing statistical methods and results sections in reports, manuscripts, or grant applications.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Proficiency in statistical software such as SAS, R, or SPSS.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledgeable in clinical, basic, or population health research.
• Knowledge of research methodologies and statistical techniques.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Additional Information:

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist investigators with protocol and grant development.
• Prepare and manage data for analysis.
• Perform introductory to intermediate-level data analysis and statistical programming using software such as SAS, R, or SPSS.
• Prepare reports, manuscripts, presentation materials, and grant application materials.
• Support faculty in achieving the educational goals of the department.
• Collaborate with investigators across various research areas including clinical, basic, and population health sciences.
• Maintain close relationships with informaticists, database managers, and research administrators.
