Class Facilitator/Employment Specialist (Full time)

P.A.I.D. (Pathways to Adulting, Dignity and Respect) Program

This position is based in a drop-in center for youth ages 12-25 from diverse backgrounds and experiences. We are in need of a dynamic individual that is passionate about working with this age group and hard to serve individuals. The PAID Instructor/Employment Specialist recruits and educates transitional aged youth (17-24) in a myriad of workforce development skills including soft skills, financial literacy, communication skills, career assessments, etc. Instructor works on a cohesive, integrated team with case managers, clinical supports, support services money and strong leadership at their disposal. The goal of the team is to meet our clients where they are, provide strong skill-based learning and employ barrier removal where necessary for their self-sufficiency and overall success.

Job Qualifications:


  • Strong organizational, administrative and time management skills. Initiative and judgement to independently problem solve and prioritize. The ability to independently develop and implement short and long-term goals.
  • Strong facilitation skills.
  • Willingness to provide case management to clients.
  • Ability to create strong relationships with possible employer partners.
  • Ability to help young people critical think and engage in future planning.
  • Experience with youth in diverse, urban settings.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including curricula creation and implementation.
  • Youth centered, youth focused framework and thoughtfulness.
  • Initiative and ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
  • Proficient in Microsoft and Google platforms.
  • This position requires a strong commitment to promoting diversity.
