The Opportunity with McKinstry We are currently looking for a Project Manager to join our growing Social Impact division based out of Seattle, WA. In this role, you will support program execution and manage projects focused on McKinstry's social and environmental responsibility efforts both regionally and nationally. Other responsibilities include:
- Provides project management around Social Impact initiatives aligned to Vendor Diversity and Building Good.
- Executes projects to meet annual goals and objectives; advances program outcomes.
- Captures progress toward goals; track and monitors results on relevant dashboard.
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders to advance program goals, including diverse business inclusion and community service participation
- Ensures project alignment to company priorities.
- Organizes events as assigned, including all logistics, communications, signups, catering, photos, etc. Leads event management for diverse business outreach in the Pacific Northwest. Leads event management for community service work in Seattle for employees.
- Attends external events as assigned (including after hour events) that align with project goals and advance McKinstry's external reputation.
- Represents McKinstry externally with vendor diversity advocacy organizations, community nonprofits, and outreach events.
- Supports identification and successful implementation of community service events and activities for McKinstry employees in the Seattle region, and other locations as assigned.
- Manages special community service opportunities, as assigned; solicits high employee participation.
- Creates high-quality, polished presentations, program plans, collateral, reports, write-ups, and other deliverables appropriate for all audiences from individual contributors to senior leaders.
- Maintains strong customer service with internal stakeholders; supports business partners across the organization in relevant needs and support requests. Provides support for diverse business inclusion plans; supports identification and onboarding of new MWDBE partners.
- Partners with McKinstry staff to facilitate engagement, build excitement, and enable participation.
- Supports client spend/data report requests.
- Provides McKinstry teams project level support on MWDBE inclusion efforts (explanation of insurance, bonding, payment terms etc.)
- Creates and maintains comprehensive project plans, with key activities, timing, priorities, and milestones.
- Meets deadlines and timelines for projects and deliverables; forecasts potential schedule delays and works with manager to develop alternate plans.
- Follows up on assignments and provides clear and consistent progress reports to manager.
- Regularly communicates with customers/clients, as assigned, to arrange meetings, confirm program schedules, and discuss relevant project information.
- Takes well-organized and accurate meeting notes, prepares follow-up documents and distributes work from meetings with minimal oversight.
- Manages confidential and sensitive information with high-level of discretion.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry
- Demonstrated passion for and support of diversity/equity/inclusion, sustainability, and community service required.
- Post-secondary credential or equivalent work experience required.
- 3+ years of professional experience in a corporate social responsibility/ESG, project manager, or program manager role required.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Sharepoint, and Power BI required.
- Experience effectively executing plans, and managing projects required.
- Comfortable working in ambiguous and/or time-sensitive situations required.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks of high priority and meet deadlines in professional, confidential, and efficient manner required.
- Demonstrated relationship-building and informal leadership skills required; ability to inspire, motivate, and empower required.
- Ability to think critically and creatively to solve complex problems required.
- A willingness to learn, engage in personal self-growth, and work above and beyond required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills required.
- Ability to travel regularly both regionally and nationally, with more frequent travel to Spokane and Portland.
- Ability to attend after-hours and weekend events as required.
- Provide personal transportation for meetings, events, and job visits away from the office.
- Minimum 3-4 days working in McKinstry's Seattle office required, with additional in-office days possible based on business need.

The pay range for this position is $72,100 - $105,900 per year; however, base pay offered my vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
