We have a career opportunity for a SharePoint Developer to join a team of several developers and IT staff supporting the development of applications for the Navy AEGIS TECHREP program office. The successful candidate will be proficient in SharePoint enterprise development, have a strong work ethic, have excellent communication skills, and will directly interface with customers to deliver products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Assists with projects using agile methods to design and develop Software solutions, including custom applications (via supported programming languages) and custom SharePoint content (SharePoint Framework [SPFx]).
  • Establish, implement, and maintain a SharePoint intranet architecture.
  • Use Power BI to build dashboards and reports of metrics.
  • Use Power Apps to build custom interfaces.
  • Use Power Automate to model processes and improve process efficiency.
  • Create and customize lists and document libraries.
  • Create communication sites to share news internally to the organization.
  • Document role-based or platform-specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Provide End-user demonstrations and training for use of custom SharePoint or Power Platform solutions.
  • Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle.

Travel

  • This position includes a low level of travel.

Education, Knowledge, Experience, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or Engineering, and at least one year of professional experience.
  • At least 4 additional years of professional experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Experience designing and implementing SharePoint sites and customized content (SPFx).
  • Experience using the MS Power Platform to customize solutions.
  • Experience operating in a cloud environment.
  • Experience with government contracting/federal government is desired.

Qualifications

  • Active DoD Secret security clearance is highly desired however, candidates who are eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance will be considered. If the selected candidate does not hold an active clearance, he/she will receive a contingent offer. A start date will be established once an interim Secret clearance is granted.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to frequently traverse stairs.
  • Sitting for long periods of time, standing, walking, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Reaching, handling, and using equipment, keyboards, and mobile devices.
  • Lifting boxes (files and supplies) up to 20 lbs.
