Description & Requirements

This role is part of the Quality Management Team where the candidate will be developing and monitoring a quality framework across Member firms which supports the delivery of quality service offerings to our member's clients and ensures we maintain their compliance within the guidelines of ISQM1 and QC1000.

This role involves developing a detailed understanding of operations and approach to quality in both Member firms and the Network's impacts on its members.

Involvement in the Quality Management Team offers a unique opportunity to understand and influence how we look at quality and identify/ manage associated risks across the network. We accomplish this from understanding the key factors of quality to looking at IT tools to help us monitor controls.

The Quality Management Team is led by a director in our network and reports to the Chief Risk Officer and the Network Quality Risk Management Committee. You will be working closely with and alongside senior members of the quality team and will have access to the key stakeholders in the firm.

How you will contribute:

  • Communication with key stakeholders including representatives from Member firms regarding systems processes and controls and matters arising from monitoring and remediation
  • Periodic review and reconciliation of objectives, risks and controls and assessing the impact on testing programs across the Member firms
  • Facilitating in the testing of controls, identifying gaps and the remediation process
  • Provision of support with the design, implementation and remediation of controls and preparation of documentation
  • Liaison and collaboration with other pillars Network Quality Risk Management Committee in the maintenance and evolution of the firm's quality and risk procedures
  • Use and maintenance of software tools to collect, analyze and map data on objectives, risks and controls
  • Assistance in the preparation of ad hoc reports for key stakeholders

We are looking for people who have Forward Vision and:

  • Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to develop a good rapport with key stakeholders
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team player as well as work independently
  • Excellent organization and project management skills and able to work to deadlines.
  • Excellent understanding of controls and processes

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 years or more of relevant experience
  • Detailed knowledge of ISQM1 and understanding of its requirements
  • Knowledge of governance structures and control environments
  • Knowledge and experience of recording and reviewing process narratives, identifying key controls and developing on going testing plans for network level controls
  • An ability to identify gaps in the current control structure and supporting the design and implementation of new controls to address these

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate Degree
  • CPA, ACA, ICAS and/or CA strongly preferred
