We seek a motivated, detail-oriented, and organized individual to study normal and impaired hearing in animal models within the lab of Dr. Karolina Charaziak at the Keck School of Medicine. The research project will involve the use ofin vivoelectrophysiology, acoustical measurements, and optical imaging techniques to assess hearing function in small rodents. Dr. Charaziak's lab is a part of multidisciplinary auditory research group within the department of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgeryat the Keck School of Medicine. This is a part-time position at 50% FTE (20 hours per week). However, transition to a full-time position may be considered.The work is in person with laboratory spaces located at Health Sciences Campus at USC.

Key requirements are experience with electrophysiological recordings and handling live animals.Experience with operating MATLAB is preferred, but not required. Experience with animal research is highly valued and strongly preferred. Start date is flexible.

The hourly rate range for this position is $21.07 - $27.63. Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree or combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education
Minimum Experience: 6 - 12 months, Combined education/experience as substitute for minimum experience
Minimum Field of Expertise: Ability to follow detailed instructions (oral and written), ability to communicate fluently in English (oral and written), experience with electrophysiological recordings and handling live animals
