Job Title: Server Analyst Job Location: Columbia, SC (one day per week) Duration: 12 Months (Possibly extended) C2 eligibility required Note: Hours 8 AM - 5 PM - Overtime, on call and weekends will be required as work permits. Day to Day: The typical day would involve providing operational support for the Unix Platform that supports various client's business applications. About The Team: The client's Team provides Unix infrastructure products and services built and maintained to customer specific requirements. This is achieved through life cycle management which includes administration, security management, operational support, and strategic planning. We strive to provide excellent customer support, operational efficiencies, and technological insight. We support the I/S vision by providing our customers with a secure and reliable environment that limits downtime and meets contractual SLAs, thereby helping them achieve their business strategy. For instance, we support over 300 technologies across three different Unix OS types and utilize In-Place Upgrades to improve operational efficiency Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job related degree. or 4 years of job related work experience or 2 years of job related experience plus an associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job related degree Required Work Experience: 6 years of server or other job related experience. Preferred Licenses and Certificates: Comptia A+, Network +, Security + Required Technologies: Unix Operating Systems - Linux (RHEL), Solaris, AIX, Datapower Applications - Ansible, Centrify, Splunk, GitHub Nice To Have: OpenShift, AWS, zLinux, VMWare Soft Skills: Attention to detail, ability to effectively communicate with peers and partner IT teams, ability to pivot to multiple tasks, strong troubleshooting skills. Required Skills and Abilities: Advanced technical knowledge of server, communications, and related hardware and software. Strong understanding of technical problems and solutions in relation to the current, as well as the future business environment. Proficiency with server technologies and platforms. Excellent problem analysis of server systems. Able to gather information, analyze information and troubleshoot various server problems. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate technical issues with non-technical people. Strong customer service skills. Strong knowledge of common server analysis, monitoring and security utilities. Required Software and Other Tools: Strong understanding of relevant server hardware and software. Preferred Skills and Abilities: RAID Storage experience and solid network experience related to custom server configurations. Work Environment: Fast paced, multi-platformed environment which may require action and response 24X7 to support the technical business needs of the customer. |
