The UC Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine (PCCSM) at the University of Cincinnati is seeking a full-time (100% FTE) Clinical Research Assistant. The Clinical Research Assistant will be a critical member of the team, providing administrative support to the Clinical Research Director and assisting staff with a variety of clinical research activities. Essential Functions Screen patients for qualification according to protocol criteria via the electronic medical record and coordination with the clinical team. Assist in the scheduling and conduct of research visits and tests. Perform study specific or routine physical/clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, measurement of vital signs, height/weight, participant questionnaires, etc. Manage the collection, labeling, and processing of laboratory specimens, including blood, sputum, and other biological samples, following protocol guidelines. Accurately collect and enter data from electronic medical records, onto paper research charts or electronic systems in a timely manner for industry-sponsored, federally funded, or investigator initiated clinical research studies. Coordinate and schedule meetings and perform administrative duties for the efficient operations of the PCCSM Clinical Research Office. Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time. Required Education High School Diploma or GED. Additional Qualifications Considered Two (2) years of general workforce experience. Experience in the field of clinical research. Administrative or office management experience. Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.). Experience as a medical assistant, phlebotomist, or in other patient facing settings. Bachelor's degree in science related field ideal. Physical Requirements/Work Environment Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
