What's the role?

The Pull Tester Engineering Specialist provides on-site pull-testing for Hilti anchors and post-installed reinforcing bars to determine the general suitability and strength of the base material with the anchoring system.

The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skills sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate is for this particular job posting. Please be advised that a different location may result in a different range.

At Hilti, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $53,000 - $56,000 with bonus of $5,000 to $7,000

What does the role involve?
  • Provide on-site pull-testing for Hilti anchors and post-installed reinforcing bars to determine the general suitability and strength of the base material with the anchoring system.
  • Communicate and coordinate testing appointments with customers
  • Utilize Hilti SharePoint to create reports
  • Select and operate appropriate equipment
  • Provide reports to customers in a timely manner
  • Use SAP to charge customers for testing and to log events
  • Other duties as needed or assigned

What you need is:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field, required; engineering focus, preferred
  • Ability to lead change and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic sales environment
  • Solid analytical skills to analyze results and implement effective strategies
  • Results-oriented and proactive - able to get things done and achieve targets
  • Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, architects, contractors, and Hilti personnel through verbal and written response
  • Self-motivated
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Eligible to work in the US permanently without sponsorship
  • Mobile and open to relocation
  • Strong desire to pursue the business aspect of the engineering profession
