JOB DESCRIPTION:

Educational and Event Technology Support

  • Point of contact for classroom, office and event technology trouble calls and setup.

  • Equipment inventory and lifecycle management.

  • Audio/Video systems installation and repair management.

  • Collaborates with the Director of Technical Theater to provide technical support to on-campus events such as presentations, receptions, and other special events.

Printer and MFP Maintenance and Support

  • Manage printer and MFP consumables and coordination of vendors.

  • Primary for troubleshooting and vendor repair escalation.

  • User printing support and training.

Helpdesk

  • Prioritizing and managing many open trouble tickets at one time.

  • Laptop, device and software diagnostics and troubleshooting.

  • Help Desk support and coverage.

Technology Project Support and Implementation

  • Installation of new and replacement equipment.

  • Implementing new solutions and/or replacing current systems. I.e.A/V systems (Projector/TV/Audio systems), desktops, phones, MFP/Copiers, etc...

  • Support for additional school-day student facing activities (e.g. advisory, club, elective, DEI initiative, etc), as assigned by the Director.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

Troubleshooting


  • Able to prioritize and segment problem domains to find failure points.

  • Plan fixes and resolutions within and outside production timeframes.

  • Systematically test solutions, starting with basic and escalating in complexity.

  • Ability to learn new skills as required

Intermediate Technical, Electrical and Mechanical knowledge


  • Intermediate knowledge and experience troubleshooting computer and network systems, required

  • Basic electrical knowledge in relation to troubleshooting devices and systems, required

  • Basic mechanical knowledge and experience, are required for device and infrastructure installation and troubleshooting, required

  • Knowledge with installing and uninstalling appropriate theater technology such as microphones, amplifiers, projection, computer connection, and furniture (such as lecterns), preferred

Customer Service and Time management


  • Able to respond quickly and professionally to trouble tickets and support requests.

  • Self-starter on project advancement and working independently.

  • Practices proactive action and maintenance when not responding to trouble reports reactively.

Salary range:

$45,000 - $57,000 annually (based on $21.63 - $27.40 / hour) + full-time benefits
