GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Responsible for the daily performance and supervision of technical associates and perform a variety of complex administrative and technical functions for the operations and activities of the IT Networks function including infrastructure and network availability, datacenter development and availability, third party vendor relationships, project management, security, and team development.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports directly to the Senior Manager - IoT and Network Engineering

SUPERVISION EXERCISED: IT Network staff including network administrators, engineers, and architects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

IT Systems and Network Management:

1. Improve quality and efficiency of IT networks, data circuits and datacenter connectivity to provide high availability and redundancy to UDR critical applications.

2. Responsible for release, deployment planning and scheduling of complete deployments to support the network infrastructure.

3. Identify requirements for 3rd party contractual support to fulfill service delivery objectives in the most effective way.

4. Lead performance reviews with IT suppliers in support of the service delivery objectives and supplier contractual obligations.

5. Responsible for management and oversight of UDR ticketing process to ensure SLAs are met and maintained for tickets submitted to the networking team.

6. Work with departmental managers, security members and other individuals as necessary to update, modify and provide critical solutions required to support UDR initiatives and security requirements.

7. Responsible for recommendation, design and implementation of new technology and services to support UDR network requirements.

8. Manage the relationship and be the primary point of contact for Network Services Providers.

9. Stay up to date on trends in the industry and ensure UDR goals and plans align with technology changes and technology evolutions.

IT Operations Management:

1. Improve quality and efficiency of IT service delivery through proactive service and infrastructure management, to drive value and support the company's business objectives.

2. Design and implement testing programs to ensure efficiency of business continuity and disaster recovery plans in support of IT and business strategies, to ensure the business can continue to function as expected and required in the event of disaster or service disruption.

Service & Corporate Planning:

1. Develop, implement, and manage continuous service improvement planning within the IT Network area.

2. Translate the IT strategy into a service plan to support the delivery of the Company's strategy and identify budgetary requirements to deliver corporate needs and the transformation agenda.

3. Develop IT services to meet current and future business requirements, to be used as the basis for communicating IT across the business, as the basis for budgets.

4. Perform other duties as assigned or as necessary.

Team Management:

1. Hire and train new staff and develop staff to maximize potential.

2. Supervise direct reporting staff in accordance with overall company policy.

3. Monitor staff performance including performance reviews and address performance problems through corrective action and dismissal.

4. Approve time records and requests for time off.

5. Assist direct reporting staff to address and resolve concerns or complaints involving job duties and job descriptions, performance standards, relations with coworkers, relations with supervisors and managers.

6. Lead, develop, and motivate the team in accordance with agreed policies and practices to ensure an effective workplace capable of meeting its objectives.

7. Contribute proactively to the development of the IT department's goals, and to demonstrate leadership within the department as expected of a manager, including managing the people and financial resources of the IT Systems Team in accordance with company standards.

Demonstrated Network hardware and software trouble-shooting skills. Knowledge and understanding of firewalls and best practice policies for securing a network. Knowledge of current and relevant computer hardware and software.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires the ability to walk, stand, sit, kneel, push, stoop, reach above the shoulder, grasp, pull, bend repeatedly, identify colors, hear with aid, see, write, count read, speak, and analyze. Occasionally lifting files, paper, training materials, machines, or boxes weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment. Requires extensive data input. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports. Requires mobility sufficient to travel. Regular and consistent attendance on the job is an essential function.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment, remote flexible. Occasional evening or weekend work. On-Call rotations. ~10% travel (or as required).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1. Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field strongly preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

2. Minimum of six years' Network Administration experience required.

3. Minimum of six years' Datacenter Management experience required.

4. Experience in Vendor Management and IT equipment procurement required.

5. Demonstrated experience in Budget Management including managing budget expenses as required.

6. Demonstrated experience in leading, motivating, and developing IT teams required.

7. Strong understanding of datacenter network technologies required. Experience with ACI a plus.

8. Valid Cisco, Palo Alto and/or equivalent certifications are a strong preference.

9. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license unless otherwise noted.

Salary Range:
* $145,000yr. - $155,000/yr., depends on experience

Bonus Potential:
* Eligible for 15% annual bonus potential, based on personal and company performance
