Under direct supervision, you will identify, plan and implement student wellness initiatives across IRSC's campuses and online platforms. Your efforts will drive engagement through activities and programs designed to promote student success and well-being.

JOB SUMMARY:

Under direct supervision, this position identifies, plans, and implements IRSC campus and online student wellness engagement opportunities across all IRSC campuses (Massey, Pruitt, Chastain, Dixon Henry, and Mueller) to support IRSC students across all campuses. Duties include: coordinating, and implementing college wide student engagement opportunities that promote student wellness, fosters inclusion, and wellness education. This role supports student success through student wellness programming.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supports the Student Wellness Center operations across all campuses; responds to and handles inquiries via telephone and email; completes request forms; and assists/refers students with needs regarding student issues and/or concerns. Supports data collection and organization of student wellness activities. Supports the Wellness Coordinator in overseeing student workers to include training, scheduling daily work hours, and assuring completion of tasks.
  • Plans, coordinates, and monitors college wide student wellness activities including but not limited to wellness and mental health initiatives that support student retention and success. Assists with the development of promotional materials, flyers, and posters for student wellness engagement opportunities; maintains the wellness webpages. Collaborates with other College departments to expand Student Wellness programming.
  • Assists with supply inventory for the Student Wellness and any other tasks needed to support Student Wellness Center programming.
  • Completes all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate degree; one (1) year of related work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
  • Valid Florida driver's license.
  • Knowledge of office practices and equipment including telephone etiquette.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, computer programs, technology, and social media platforms.
  • Knowledge of graphic design or marketing desired.
  • Knowledge of student engagement methods and online methodology.
  • Skill in organizing, time management, and prioritizing.
  • Skill in working with Microsoft Office and Windows based applications.
  • Ability to be accurate, pay attention to details, be people oriented, multi-task, work independently as well as with others, and be self-motivated.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position classifies the physical exertion requirements as light work involving lifting no more than 20 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Even though the weight lifted may be very little, a job is in this category when it requires a good deal of walking or standing, or when it involves sitting most of the time with some pushing and pulling of arm or leg controls. To be considered capable of performing a full or wide range of light work, you must have the ability to do substantially all of these activities. If someone can do light work, we determine that he or she can also do sedentary work, unless there are additional limiting factors such as loss of fine dexterity or inability to sit for long periods of time.
