A Day In The Life

As a Senior Project Engineer at PCX Corporation, you will lead the engineering and management of complex integrated electrical and mechanical systems projects. This role demands adherence to the NEC (National Electric Code) and U.L. standards, focusing on large custom-built enclosures and skid-based systems that accommodate electrical switchgear for modular data centers, power equipment centers, and integrated switchboards.

The ideal candidate will have a robust history of overseeing multiple concurrent projects autonomously, aiming to enhance project efficiency and profitability. Responsibilities include defining project scope and parameters, identifying project roles, and crafting comprehensive project lifecycle plans. You will frequently interact with customers, team members, and suppliers, necessitating superior communication skills. Regular tasks include project reporting, budget and schedule management, and overseeing the daily activities of Production Engineers assigned to each project.

What will help you thrive in this role?

* Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field preferred

* Minimum of 7+ years' experience in project engineering or project management

* Expertise in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical blueprints and specifications

* Proficiency in AutoCAD and Solidworks is essential

* Demonstrated experience in the integration of electrical and mechanical systems for custom applications

* Advanced design knowledge related to commercial MEP construction

* Proven experience with fabricated sheet metal products

* Familiarity with ISO9001:2015 and ERP systems

* In-depth understanding of NEC, UL, and ETL standards for both low and medium voltage applications

* Knowledge of ASCE Standards

* Exceptional interpersonal skills to lead and collaborate within a team environment

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, etc.)
