Landscape Architect III - Hybrid

Full-time, Hourly

Hourly Pay Range: $32.90 - $41.86 ($68,432 - $87,068.8)

Job Summary -

Responsible for planning, design, construction, and inspection of parks and related facilities such as: golf courses, playgrounds, comfort stations, trails, dog exercise areas, sports courts and fields, and similar amenities. Prepare and participate in long-range planning efforts including comprehensive and master plans as well as capital budget strategies. Ensure quality service and product delivery.

Job Responsibilities -



  • Planning and Design - Lead the design and construction of parks and facilities; prepare and review plans, drawings, specifications, and estimates; define scopes; design parameters; evaluate land transactions; and attend and lead public hearings and informational meetings.
  • Park Planning - Assist in capital and long-range planning; advance the implementation of plans, policies, and procedures; and analyze systemwide assets using geographic information systems.
  • Project Management - Oversee contractor work to ensure compliance with approved design and budget. Prepare narratives, statistical and legislative reports, permits, grants, easements, and exhibits.
  • Special Assignments and Projects - Participate on special project teams. Drive community outreach efforts, marketing and communication efforts.
  • Use of Vehicles, Tools and Equipment - Operate vehicles, hand tools, computers, and general office equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education, License/Certification and Experience -



  • Must be a current resident of USA.
  • A Valid Driver's License at time of application must be able to obtain valid Wisconsin Driver's License within 6 months of employment


  • Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture required.
  • Five (5) years or more work experience in Landscape Architecture required.
  • State of Wisconsin Licensed Landscape Architect required within 6 months of employment



Preferred experience -



  • GIS (Geographic Information System) and AutoCAD experience preferred.
