St. John Fisher University is an independent, liberal arts institution that provides a transformative education to approximately 3,800 undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students each year. Across its five Schools, Fisher offers nearly 40 majors in the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, business, education, and nursing; 11 pre-professional programs; and master's and doctoral programs in business, nursing, education, pharmacy, and public health. Job Responsibilities |
Outreach & Communications
- Liaison to campus student groups, including attending occasional relevant meetings and events in the evenings (up to once a month)
- Collaborate with library staff to develop and promote library services
- Coordinate with campus departments and groups to market library services
- Design physical and digital library displays, including new books and archives and special collections with an emphasis on diverse perspectives and materials
- Create fliers, posters, and other marketing materials
- Maintain social media presence, including developing schedule for posting and analyzing engagement
- Assist with campus-wide library communications, including drafting emails and reports, writing library newsletters
- Host library outreach events, for example tabling and satellite checkout, campus involvement festivals
Digital Learning & Content Creation
- Assist with video tutorial review and management
- Work collaboratively with staff on content review process
- Under the direction of the Assessment & Online Program Librarian, review and update digital learning objects for accessibility and best practices

Required
- Associate degree or higher
- At least 1-2 years workplace experience
Preferred
- Library experience
- Web content creation
