Description & Requirements

As a strategic partner, the Learning & Development Business Partner (LDBP) is responsible for ensuring an overall positive learning experience by assisting & collaborating with key stakeholders on the design, development, management, and delivery of programs. The LDBP serves as a liaison to multiple business functions to ensure an integrated approach to the entire team member life cycle, with a primary goal of amplifying the team member experience, enhancing team member technical knowledge, and increasing team member engagement. The LDBP will be a key stakeholder in Projects and Programs lead by the Forvis Mazars Recruiting team, as well as ensuring every Forvis Mazars Flagship Event, regardless of service line or industry, has elements of Forvis Mazars DNA integrated throughout. The curriculum will be an intentional blend of technical, leadership, and culture driving topics focused on developing the whole professional and ensuring that every individual who comes to work for Forvis Mazars leaves a better person and professional than when they arrived.

How you will contribute:

  • Proactively collaborate with business leaders to understand the firm's vision and to strategically align the curriculum to support the current and future business needs by providing and recommending appropriate learning solutions
  • Coordinate the planning, design, and development of flagship programs and internal conferences - working closely with service line and industry groups
  • Work closely with leadership to develop and prioritize a holistic team member experience and programs with a heavy emphasis in the areas of: Forvis Mazars DNA, client service, inclusion and diversity, wellness, and accountability
  • Develop and manage programs that inspires a culture of learning, growth, and belonging across the global organization
  • Collaborate across the broader Human Resource and Talent Management teams to uncover actionable insights to drive measurable improvements in the overall team member experience
  • Drive team member engagement and satisfaction to create an environment that attracts and retains talent through a sought-after work culture
  • Collaborate and liaison with firmwide IMPACT and alumni network leaders, human resource business partners, talent acquisition, inclusion and diversity leader, learning development, leadership development, and performance development
  • Manage projects and relationships in a collaborative, team-based environment
  • Partner with internal subject matter experts (SMEs) to create and deliver training and set priorities for content development based on emerging needs, including PSG, AMI, and Service Line Leaders
  • Collaborate with Learning Experience Leader to conduct needs analyses to design training programs to meet specific learning objectives
  • Collaborate with Learning Experience Leader, Learning Design team, and Talent Development Operations team to develop a plan to analyze the knowledge and skill requirements needed by professionals to better perform their jobs and the most effective way to deliver training to end users
  • Partner with HR Business Partners to identify feedback from Talent Reviews that should result in updates to training plans
  • Build and maintain appropriate course project plans to include delivery schedules, identify target audiences, outline communication plans, and secure quality instructors
  • Consult with assigned course instructors to establish program timeline, identify critical needs, and resources required. Define and manage deadlines to ensure NASBA compliance and delivery requirements are achievable and achieved
  • Analyze feedback and evaluation data for instructor and content quality. Share feedback with learning experience leader and service line business partners in an effort of continuous facilitation improvement
  • Research, recommend, and manage self-study learning libraries in support of core curriculum needs
  • Introduce, administer, and support technology-enabled programs; provide expertise and instruction to facilitators in proper use of various technologies and instructional effectiveness that promote an effective learning experience
  • Oversee budget to ensure operational efficiencies and collaborate with Talent Development Operations team to ensure seamless delivery and positive learning experience for employees
  • Set the tone that each learning event should provide a meaningful positive experience that drives increased employee engagement
  • Lead innovation efforts to find new and impactful ways to deliver training and development, including nano-learning and other just-in-time delivery methods
  • Collaborate with Learning Experience Team on future enhancements to overall Forvis Mazars flagship events and curriculum in the spirit of continuous improvement

We are looking for people who have Forward Vision and:

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple large, complex projects at the same time required
  • Demonstrated behavior that exhibits professional presence with the ability to interface with all levels within the firm
  • Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner required

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • 3 years or more of relevant work experience in human resources related role
  • Advanced proficiency of Microsoft and other software applications (Adobe, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
  • Adoption, use, and understanding of performance management and feedback tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 - 9 years of relevant work experience in human resources related role.

Maryland Wage Transparency
Pursuant to Maryland's Wage Range Transparency Law, the salary range displayed is for the Maryland market. The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Positions that are non-exempt will be eligible for overtime pay compensable at a rate of one and a half times the hourly rate for any hours worked over 40 in a work week.
