Corporate Planning and Development Analyst Sr.
The position is responsible for portfolio administration and projects related to Comerica Capital Advisors (stand-alone subsidiary of Comerica Incorporated) and Comerica's warrant portfolio. Additionally, the position supports the long-term strategy and related reporting, analysis, and projects.
Position Responsibilities:


  • Active role in the management and administration of 700 - 800 individual warrant
    positions that generated proceeds of approximately $50 million over the last several years.
  • Negotiate legal agreements for warrant transactions; involve and assist in the
    coordination of attorneys; recommends course of action to management including assessment risks and potential liabilities.
  • Active role in the management and administration of granular portfolio of equity investments. This includes underwriting new investments; day-to-day operations and reporting, including capital calls and distributions, tracking of financials, valuations, Volcker Rule certifications, Comerica Capital Advisors and Comerica Ventures Board reporting, and quarterly regulatory reporting for investment portfolios.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis, reporting and research. Assist in performing detailed financial studies that look to accurately measure the risks and rewards of a myriad of situations confronting the Corporation.
  • Actively participate in the audit and examination process, helping to ensure that all issues are addressed within agreed upon time frames.
  • Active role in risk management to identify and mitigate any risk facing the Corporation.



Position Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree from an accrediting university in Accounting or Financial discipline required
  • 4 years of progressive experience in performing financial analysis, particularly as it applies to the financial services industry
  • 3 years of experience using Excel; including pivot tables, graphs, etc.
  • 3 years of experience in financial analysis and/or modeling
  • 1 year of experience managing small to medium projects
  • 1 year of experience working with legal documents

Work Best Category: Category C - Days in the office will either be designated days or will vary week to week from 2-5 days Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday Salary: To Be Determined Based on Individual Experience
