Responsibilities

Forest View Hospital, located just seven miles southeast of downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan, is a private 108 bed psychiatric facility that serves children, adolescents and adults. We are licensed by the State of Michigan, fully accredited by The Joint Commission and we bring more than 45 years of experience to the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of behavioral health problems. As a part of our continued success and growth, we are seeking a Market Director of Outpatient Services.

The Market Director of Outpatient Services is responsible for operations, clinical oversight and marketing of the Outpatient Medication Management Clinic, Telepsych, IOP and Partial Hospitalization programs to include, but not limited to: programs and personnel development; management; evaluation; coordination and integration of hospital services; budget and cost control; census development and maintenance. Responsible for the expansion and growth of operations to include satellite Partial Hospitalization programming and Southridge Behavioral Hospital Partial Hospitalization programming. Responsibilities also include oversight/maintenance of Policies and Procedures.This position actively supports, promotes and works to fulfill the Mission, Vision and Values of Forest View Hospital using our Service Excellence program.

Key Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the leadership, implementation and evaluation of Outpatient Programs and Services.
  • Develops hospital policy and procedure for areas of responsibility.
  • Evaluates, audits and maintains standards for areas of responsibility in compliance with regulatory and accreditation agencies.
  • Serves as a member of the senior management team, including decision-making, financial goals, organizational goals, and Administrator On-Call, as needed. Takes calls for the special departmental needs.
  • Responsible or delegates for employee hiring, performance appraisals, corrective action, professional recognition and growth of staff members.
  • Promote new program and business development. Participates in marketing outpatient program.
  • Provides leadership and accountability for the departmental budget, FTEs and staffing levels.
  • Develop and maintain departmental quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives while participating in hospital quality improvement plan.
  • Responsible for overseeing department safety responsibilities.
  • Responsibilities also include oversight/maintenance of Policies and Procedures.

Position Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field.
  • Psychiatric experience required.
  • Supervisory experience required.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to priortize and coordinate multiple priorities
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and train

Schedule: The hours for this positions are Full Time, Salary Basis, Monday - Friday.
