Position Summary:

The Fulfillment Center Manager II supports the company's overall financial and operating objectives by providing strategic and tactical leadership for the El Paso Fulfillment Center. The ideal candidate will set and manage the vision, strategy, operations, and objectives of a Regal Rexnord network fulfillment center. This individual will ensure excellence by delivering expectations across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Growth (SQDCG) to support various customers for multiple business units. The leader acts as a strategic business partner through support of and alignment with internal and external customers throughout the organization. The Fulfillment Center Manager II is accountable for hiring, promotion, performance evaluation, and feedback for direct reports and fulfillment center associates. The incumbent must demonstrate and remain current on industry knowledge and expertise in various distribution concepts, practices, and procedures. This leader must also ensure that the Fulfillment Center complies with federal, state, and local laws or regulations.As a leader at Regal Rexnord, you are expected to model our company values and be a brand ambassador. This leadership role will report directly to the Director of Fulfillment Operations.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Champions Regal Business Systems by setting the example for committed and data-driven deployment of continuous improvement methodology. Specifically, this involves developing a transformational roadmap, action plan, associate engagement, and daily management tools that execute strategic initiatives.
  • Directs the daily activities of all warehouse departments and implements policies and procedures to ensure the shipment of products in planned quantities, at budgeted cost, and of desired quality. Ensures all safety procedures are followed, and metrics are met.
  • Liaisons with functional or operational area managers to understand current and future shipment needs and develop plans, cost estimates, and schedules for integrating these needs into existing activities.
  • Ensures effective communication channels with multiple business leaders and functional leadership (e.g., Human Resources, Quality, Supply Chain, Transportation, Manufacturing, and Sales). Ensures a strong relationship between the Supply Chain and its customers to drive total cost productivity through operational excellence, standardization, and consolidation.
  • Ensures products and services are delivered to the required quality, cost, and delivery performance levels. Focuses on continuous improvement of shipments and processes while monitoring speed, cost, quality, and safety metrics.
  • Optimizes the talent within the organizational structure and fosters an environment to promote individual and team growth and career development goals. Attracts, develops, and retains employees capable of sustaining our position as the leader in customer service and delivery.
  • Implements policies and procedures to ensure the overall facility's safety, quality, delivery, and cost reduction goals are achieved.
  • Proactively coordinate with various business divisions to ensure customers are serviced according to expectations.
  • Responsible for operating within budget and monitoring the cost and effectiveness of distribution activities to optimize resources, prioritize spending, and achieve volume, quality, and distribution standards
  • Coordinates all safety initiatives and programs (Safety Training, Safety committee, etc.) for warehouse employees.
  • Drives continuous improvement using tools and activities, including the Regal Business System (RBS) self-assessments, audit processes, Safety investigations, and Fulfillment Center KPIs focused on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Growth (SQDCG). Leads efforts to develop a culture of highly engaged business owners.

Required Education / Experience / Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
  • 7+ Years of experienceleading distribution center or warehouse operations in a fast-paced environment. Experience with warehouse automation, e-commerce, 3PL, and transportation is a plus.
  • Knowledge of lean processes/tools and their application is strongly desired. Results-oriented, process improvement focused.
  • Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations and policies.
  • Strong critical reasoning skills with the ability to identify and solve problems. Ability to make sound decisions regarding resourceutilization and needs.
  • A passion for team building, improving employee engagement, and developing future leaders.
  • Proven ability to successfully meet customer and management deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to achieve outstanding results.
  • Experience using ERP Systems (Oracle and SAP preferred).
  • Highly organized, self-starter that can work with little direct supervision.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

This position works in a Warehouse environment, typically indoors, but may require access to outdoors for work at times. The position requires a person to frequently walk, stand, bend, and twist; see, hear, and talk; use fingers and hands; handle or feel controls or products; use hands and arms to reach, hold, and carry the product. Frequently lifting/moving up to 35 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs. is required. This position also requires a person to handle different temperatures, as the Warehouse is hot in the summer and cooler in the winter. This position may also allow a person to stand for up to 10 hours.
