The Campaign Director is responsible for leading, strategizing, and implementing fundraising and engagement initiatives in support of Davidson College. Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Development, the role will collaborate with campus leaders, colleagues, volunteers, and prospects to lead strategy development and implementation of a multi-year comprehensive campaign in support of institutional aspirations. Responsibilities will include ongoing oversight of campaign outreach strategies, identification and coordination of priority projects, reporting to key stakeholders, and continual analysis and optimization of strategies utilizing emerging technology. -------------------- Strategy and planning: Develop, implement, and manage efforts that align with institutional fundraising and engagement priorities and growth objectives. Analyze opportunities and results to guide decision making on a regular basis. Team Leadership: Provide strategic guidance and resources to support team and individual success of fundraising and engagement professionals. Collaborate with the Vice President, Associate Vice President and colleagues in College Relations, the President and senior leadership, Trustees, key volunteers and campus partners to integrate campaign priorities, principles and messaging across channels. This position currently manages the Development Administrative Assistant. Communications and Stewardship: Develop and execute a compelling strategy, in consultation with the Office of Advancement Communications and Donor Relations, to inspire prospective donors and demonstrate campaign impact. Includes the creation of a broad range of materials, multi-channel digital content, and campaign reports. Donor Cultivation and Solicitation: Inspire a culture of partnership and philanthropy working closely with principal, major, annual, parent, athletics and planned giving offices to increase giving levels to Davidson. Includes direct management of a small group of donors. Event Management and Impact: Plan campaign events, in partnership with the Office of Events and Programming, including small dinners and receptions, and campaign launch and celebration events, ensuring they actively engage participants and reflect campaign goals effectively. ----------------- Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree. Experience: Minimum of 5 years in fundraising or related fields. Proven track record of accomplishments and taking initiative. Skills: Must be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with others. Ability to lead a diverse group of people in an authentic and inclusive way. Capable of detailed evaluation utilizing analysis of data. Strategic thinking with the ability to set and achieve ambitious fundraising goals. Ability to assess and implement new technologies.
