How you will make history here...

Supervising nonexempt associates in a manufacturing environment during the work hours of 10p -7:30a. This individual will plan and assigns work, implements policies and procedures, and recommends improvements in production methods, processes, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. He/She supervises all phases of production activities for the CRACKER Department and directs the work activities of hourly associates for the Night Owl shift, all of whom are responsible for meeting the Company's goals. Role priorities for this position include Safety, Associate Relations, Associate Engagement, Quality, Productivity, Cost Improvement, and Performance Measurement.

What you will do...

  • Must be able to improve working conditions (safety, quality, productivity, and cost) and increase associates' skills and capabilities.
  • Develops direct reports by providing guidance, coaching and assignments/projects that result in high employee engagement, high performing teams and a high performing organization.
  • Coordinates on-the-job training for new hires and transferred associates. Conducts training in new procedures, OSHA - mandated compliance programs.
  • Uses continuous improvement to improve production methods, yield, equipment performance, and quality of product. Supports all plant safety, quality, 5S, SAP and continuous improvement initiatives. This support may include but is not limited to actively participating in all audits and all aspects of team concepts, such as displaying a positive attitude which are necessary to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Must be able to assist Product Manager and other Supervisors, in improving a system of production control, standard operating procedure, safety, quality control, performance management and coordination of other activities within the department as well as other supporting departments (i.e., Sanitation, Maintenance/Engineering, Scheduling, Shipping, Receiving, etc.)
  • Ensures effective associate relations. Provides associate coaching and development. Makes employment decisions. Resolves associate issues through problem resolution.
  • Balances quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Works to continuously improve in all areas. Timely completion of documentation, reviews, and incident reports.
  • Interprets specifications and job orders to workers, and assigns duties as required. Establishes, and where necessary, adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules. Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials.
  • Manages departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provides regular progress reports to manager. Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustments of machines. Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
  • Plans and coordinates work, trains and motivates, monitors and evaluates performance of associates; ensures their ability to safely operate material handling equipment to move materials to and from storage configurations; Counsels, records, and disciplines as necessary. Develops associates to effectively oversee the daily routines of their assigned duties. Reviews production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
  • Assumes responsibility for the Quality System requirements defined in 4.1.2.1 of the Pepperidge Farm, Inc. - Denver Plant Quality Procedures Manual. Identifies opportunities and leads Kaizen events to improve safety, quality, productivity and reliability.
  • Interprets and enforces Company policies and procedures; hold employees fully accountable for complying with these standards. Resolves employee issues, questions, and complaints; maintain a positive employee relations environment.
  • Tracks absenteeism and timekeeping.
  • Maintains downtime and production records.
  • Provides operational support for Corporate driven initiatives, product launches and experimental line trials as required.
  • Provides leadership that exemplifies the Campbell's Leadership Model.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

What you bring to the table...

  • High school degree or GED
  • 3+ years of previous experience in a manufacturing environment

It would be great to have...

  • Bachelor's degree and
  • 3+ years of previous experience in a food manufacturing environment

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between

$65,200-$93,700

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
