Position Summary

The Oceaneering Technologies (OTECH) division is looking for top-notch Engineering Interns with a desire to apply their talents towards solving the unsolvable in the marine environment. The successful engineer will be part of a dynamic cross-functional team that will plan, design, develop, integrate, and test world class solutions to meet customer needs. Assignments (some with strict deadlines to meet) will be commensurate with the student's academic background to take advantage of their expertise and provide real life application of their classroom knowledge.

Base pay rate for this position is $30.00 per hour.


Duties And Responsibilities

* Design Modeling (Limited level in SolidWorks)
* Finite Element Analysis (FEA) - ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation
* Mechanical Calculations - Manual, Excel, MathCAD
* Geometric Analysis - SolidWorks/AutoCAD
* Technical Writing (Procedures, Reports, Presentations)
* Parts Sorting/Organization for Product Assembly
* Assembly and Test Support (Engineering Liaison)
* Learn about underwater technologies and Remote Operated Vehicles (ROVs)
* Gain an understanding of the Oceaneering and OTECH organization


Qualifications

Required Qualifications

* US Citizenship
* Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program (as a rising junior or senior) or a Master's degree program.
* Ability to work full-time during defined internship period
* Good communication and organizational skills
* Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
* Experience working with a group or team in a technical setting

Preferred Qualifications

* 3.0+ cumulative GPA in a STEM degree program
* Academic excellence and community involvement
* Familiarity with the application of current engineering software (i.e. SolidWorks, AutoCAD, ANSYS, Matlab, etc)
* Ability to create, read, and interpret mechanical drawings
* Express strong interest in engineering principles inside and outside of the classroom
