QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

The qualifications and skill requirements for this position include:

  • Associate Degree in relations, marketing, economics, finance, or a related field;
  • Experience in business-academic engagement and workforce development programs;
  • Knowledge of the local and regional manufacturing business portfolios;
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal);
  • Ability to develop and present technical and marketing materials to key stakeholders and the general public;
  • Ability to generate and analyze reports with statistical, geographic, and demographic data.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The essential job functions and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the development of data-driven workforce training and education solutions;
  • Assist with establishing and maintaining relationships with area businesses, industry representatives, and the community that lead to career placements and/or workforce retention;
  • Facilitate student placement and retention in the advanced manufacturing workforce;
  • Work with employers to develop and maintain partnerships while identifying quality employment opportunities for students;
  • Assist in expanding employer partnerships.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The specific duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Connect employers to students in the advanced manufacturing programs;
  • Support the development of the advanced manufacturing workforce through collaboration with Treasure Coast Manufacturing Association, chambers of commerce, economic development specialists, and other key business partners;
  • Assist employers in establishing advanced manufacturing training solutions at the college;
  • Analyze and evaluate data for the improvement of student placement and employer engagement;
  • Facilitate employer-driven hiring events and business roundtables;
  • Plan, coordinate, and attend focused and community events to increase awareness and admissions for appropriate advanced manufacturing programs;
  • Accurately responding to all inquiries in a timely manner;
  • Assembling, compiling, and submitting requested reports to the Executive Director's office;
  • Completing other duties and assuming other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires an ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, reach up, stoop, and carry items occasionally in excess of twenty-five

(25) pounds. It also requires manual dexterity to operate standard office machines, such as, copier, fax, calculator, telephone, and other equipment as necessary. IRSC expects its employees to follow proper safety standards while employed by the College.
