Diamond Grove Center is searching for an experienced Teacher to work in our Education Department.

Diamond Grove Center Hospital is a premiere behavioral hospital that has been providing compassionate care to children and adolescents since 1997. Diamond Grove Center is located in the beautiful city of Louisville, Mississippi. Diamond Grove Center is a 55 bed, psychiatric behavioral health hospital that offers inpatient acute care as well as residential treatment for adolescents. Teachers in our education department provide adolescents/children with the opportunity to participate in educational programming while in a hospital setting. A smile and a friendly attitude will help make you successful in this role as you interact with co-workers, patients, and others. Ensuring your duties are completed successfully and timely are also important in this role.

What Will You Get To Do?

• Develop goals and objectives documented on an IEP/IPP for each student
• Prepare individual lessons on appropriate forms that are based on the assessment
• Serve on the IEP Committee to develop goals and appropriate educational program
• Plan classes utilizing the subject area's scope and sequence of skills development
• Plan classes based on teacher's knowledge of appropriate materials
• Incorporate methods of behavior modification, as needed based on accepted standards

What Does Diamond Grove Center Require for this Role?

1. A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in the subject area to be taught (Special Education) and possession of a valid MS "A" teaching certificate in the subject area to be taught as required by the Department of Education and agree to obtain the EmD Certification within one year from hired date.
2. Current Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification; current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
